The SlimBlade Pro from Kensington is the most advanced trackball model for those who want the most possible features, while eliminating the constraints of wires and batteries.
Indeed, this model is rechargeable. It is equipped with a battery with an advertised autonomy lasting up to 4 months, and which is simply recharged via the provided USB-C cable.
Wireless connectivity is done either through the USB receiver or through Bluetooth (4.0 and 5.0), and is secured with 128-bit AES encryption (preventing interception of data transmitted between the trackball and the computer).
In terms of equipment, the ball is 50 mm and the trackball has 4 buttons. These can be customized via the free downloadable software KensingtonWorks (assigning different functions to 8 sets of programmable buttons: the 4 individual ones and 4 sets of combination buttons).
Movement tracking is based on a dual-sensor system for high precision.
