We love nature. But at work, do we think about it enough? Not sure! Here are three simple and effective tips for doing something for the planet.
Use a mug or an isothermal bottle
It is one of the easiest things to do and, in addition, there are many advantages! From an ecological point of view, a stainless steel mug and/or bottle, for example, avoids throwing away plastic cups. On the economic side, it allows you to limit the purchase of disposable cups for the occasional visitor.
Select an eco-friendly font
It may seem trivial, but your choice of font has a significant impact on your consumption of ink cartridges and toners. Specialists in typography and ecology have studied the subject. The verdict: depending on the characteristics of a font (character structure, spacing, size, thickness, etc.), its ink consumption can double! The most environmentally friendly and economical fonts are: Ryman Eco, Vera Sans (free download) or Garamond, Times New Roman and Calibri (often pre-installed on the computer).
Give preference to recycled or recyclable supplies
You can also opt for "greener" supplies in your usual business purchases. Contrary to popular belief, recycled paper is now as white as traditional paper. And that is just one example. Markers, sticky notes, filing boxes, cleaning products, toilet paper... There are plenty of ways to buy more environmentally friendly! Think about it. ;)
